In Ashes of Creation, the things players do can change the world around them. Our focus this month is our Commission System. You can think of Commissions like quests, and these are one way that characters and nodes gain experience. Commissions can change based on what’s going on in the game around you, and completing Commissions can impact the world. In Ashes of Creation, crafters make the best stuff!
Players can choose Artisan classes that let them focus on Gathering, Processing, and Crafting professions. A single player can’t master every profession, and in our November 2023 Development Update livestream we share more about how different professions are connected when it comes to crafting items.

As the winter snows continue this year, nature strives to find its balance - a perfect moment to talk about elves. Ashes of Creation revealed the Py’Rai for the first time in the February Development Update! The Py’Rai seek to restore nature's balance within the world of Verra. These woodland elves are so in tune with nature that they are one with the forest. This connection with the natural forces of the world can be seen in their skin texture, and the large antlers sprouting from their heads - a unique feature to the Py'Rai.

October was a big month for Intrepid Studios with the October 2021 Ashes of Creation Development Update.
This weekend Intrepid Studios will be hosting its fifth annual Extra Life campaign to raise money for Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California. They are one of the top pediatric facilities in North America. A teaching hospital, Rady’s not only helps children everyday, they train future generations of doctors and nurses.
Intrepid Studios’ Creative Director for Ashes of Creation will be participating in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on the popular r/MMORPG subreddit which will be broadcast on Twitch. The top questions posted to Reddit will be answered by Steven live via Twitch on Sunday, June 13th, 2021 at 11 am Pacific. If you’ve got any questions you’ve been dying to ask about the MMORPG genre’s next big game, you can ask them right now until June 11th at 11:59 pm Pacific. The moderators are expecting a lot of interest, so each account is limited to one question.
Nothing says Happy Monday than a new Ashes of Creation 4K video from Intrepid Studios. The team recently shared footage of the Alpha One Siege area along with some of the Raid Bosses that are found in that area. While this is early footage and things will be changed along the way to release, it’s nevertheless exciting to see how the team is iterating on and refining raid mechanics to add compelling gameplay elements for players.
