Viral Chilean horror The Last Train: Baquedano arrives January 22

Dojo System is thrilled to announce that The Last Train: Baquedano - the short, psychological horror hit that became a viral sensation on Steam - is officially leaving the station on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch this January 22, priced at €7.99 / $7.99.

With over 230 “Very Positive” reviews, countless YouTube reactions, and memes of its own, Baquedano has already carved out a cult following for its mix of fear, humor, and surreal internet energy.

A real station, a digital nightmare
Created by Chilean indie studio Plastic Frog Games, The Last Train: Baquedano takes players into the eerie silence of Santiago’s real-life Baquedano metro station - recreated down to its dimensions and flickering lights.

Somewhere in those tunnels, something waits: Tung Tung Tung Sahur, a creature that began as a viral meme and somehow crossed into reality.

“We wanted it to feel so real that anyone who’s ever been in Baquedano would feel uneasy,”, says Matías Avilés, co-founder of Plastic Frog Games. “We didn’t invent fear - we borrowed it from everyday life.”

What starts as a joke quickly turns into a commentary on virality, loneliness, and the strange way digital culture can turn laughter into dread.

“At first people laughed at the meme,” adds Avilés. “Then someone said, ‘What if it actually chased you?’ That’s how the game was born.”

From meme to myth
Compact but unforgettable, Baquedano runs about twenty minutes and features three different endings.
Its fast pace, claustrophobic design, and absurd sense of humor make it perfect for streaming - which is exactly how it spread across the world.

“We never imagined so many people would film themselves playing,” the team admits. “It’s short, but everyone either ends up laughing - or checking behind them.”

Highlights

  • A real place turned surreal: Baquedano Station, faithfully recreated in 3D.

  • The first ‘meme monster’: Tung Tung Tung Sahur moves from internet folklore into playable fear.

  • Three endings: short, replayable, unpredictable.

  • Perfect for streamers: quick, reactive horror built for clips and content.

  • Optimized for every platform: refined controls, stable performance, spatial audio.

The console journey begins
The January 22 release marks Plastic Frog’s first global console debut. Baquedano arrives optimized for PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch, with full controller support, improved lighting, and richer audio design.

“We wanted players to actually feel the train shaking,” says Avilés. “With headphones on, you’ll swear something’s breathing right behind you.”
