Swedish independent game studio Might and Delight are reporting good progress on the artistic powerhouse and Kickstarter success story Book of Travels, an online multiplayer role-playing game in which players take on the role of a traveller unearthing the mysteries of the world of Braided Shore.
It has now been 12 months since we released Book of Travels, the Tiny MORPG (MMO-Lite) to early Access on Steam. Whilst initial momentum was beyond expectation, seeing us hit the top 10 most popular games on Steam, server instability and a number of frustrating bugs showed us that we had some issues we needed to solve.
Today the team at Might and Delight are thrilled to officially launch Book of Travels into Early Access. After making a deep impression on press and early Kickstarter backers this weekend, the world of Braided Shore is opening to all who wish to tread its tangled paths and wander its shady wilds. This rare moment - the start of a new world - is not to be missed, and all who venture in it will have founding tales to tell.
The development team made a tough call, aiming to deliver a high-quality first impression for this unique TMORPG experience.
Originally scheduled for an Early Access launch of August 9th, Book of Travels will now be launching August 30th. The developers will use the additional time to make sure the upcoming build matches the team’s vision.
Might and Delight is excited to launch Book of Travels, a deep role-playing experience with “living painting” visuals, into Early Access on August 9th. This Tiny Multiplayer Online RPG (TMORPG) has been in development for four years and is the studio's most ambitious game to date. Players will soon have the opportunity to explore the mysterious world of Braided Shore, a place where kindness is as valuable as skill with a sword.
