Blight Night Launches on Steam Today

The lights are flickering. The tape is rolling. The town of Golden Springs opens its gates once more - and this time, there's no turning back. Blight Night, the grimy, atmospheric survival-horror game from solo developer Nick Duttweiler of Famous Games LLC, has officially launched today on Steam.

Set in a decaying West Texas town warped by darkness, Blight Night plunges players into a lo-fi nightmare soaked in synths, static, and the creeping dread of 1980s horror. As Sonny Barstow, a lone survivor caught in the fallout of a mysterious blight, players will face deadly encounters, environmental puzzles, and haunting revelations that peel back the rotten core of Golden Springs.

A Full Nightmare Experience Awaits
Prepare for more than just survival, the full release of Blight Night delivers horrifying new content

  • Unseen Depths - Explore new, previously inaccessible zones, crawling with fresh threats and twisted scenery.

  • Brutal Foes - Confront newly unleashed enemy types and brutal boss encounters that demand tactical survival.

  • Expanded Story - Discover new layers of narrative, audio logs, environmental clues, and secrets hidden throughout the wasteland.

  • Visual & Audio Enhancements - Sharper lighting, richer effects, and a more immersive, analog-drenched soundscape.

Blending classic third-person survival mechanics with a uniquely degraded aesthetic, Blight Night is both a love letter to retro horror and a brutal standalone experience. The CRT grain, VHS distortion, and analog dread aren't just style - they're part of the threat.

“This isn't nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake,” says developer Nick Duttweiler. “It’s about capturing the feeling of discovering something you weren’t meant to watch. Something cursed. Something real.”

Blight Night is now available on Steam.
