Mr. Magpie clocks in for spooky season with a new demo
Welcome to spooky season, valued employee. It's time to clock back in.
Mr. Magpie’s Harmless Card Game, the surreal corporate horror deckbuilder from Giant Light Studios, launches a newly expanded and polished demo, available now on Steam, inviting prospective employees back into Mr. Magpie's increasingly questionable workplace ahead of Steam Next Fest, October 19–26.
Published by Behaviour Interactive and Gambit Digital, Mr. Magpie’s Harmless Card Game combines Minesweeper-inspired deduction, push-your-luck mechanics, and roguelike deckbuilding in a corporate nightmare overseen by a smiling puppet who insists everything is perfectly harmless.

Welcome back to the office
More than a simple update, the new demo offers an expanded and refined preview of Mr. Magpie's Harmless Card Game, with new narrative framing, gameplay systems, workplace exploration, and more Mr. Magpie interactions.
This new build introduces the SHARES system, a revamped Strategy selection system, and an improved first-time user experience. Employees can also stand up from the table and explore Mr. Magpie’s office, offering an early glimpse at the game’s Walkabout exploration. The build also adds Simplified Chinese localization, alongside additional polish and fixes.
Flip cards, use hints to avoid dangerous JERRY cards, exploit strange synergies, and get filthy rich. Just make your quota before closing time. .. or else.
The updated demo is available now for free on Steam, ahead of Steam Next Fest, October 19–26.
