You can check out the game on the Gamera Games booth.

ABOUT THE GAME

Candlelight Lament is an adventure puzzle game set in the Cthulhu Mythos where you take on the role of a renowned elderly professor called Ed, who ignores the city’s night-time curfews to visit friends all the while searching for his missing granddaughter. As you explore through the game and the investigation progresses, a huge mystery behind recent large-scale disappearances becomes increasingly clear and its true nature turns out to be more terrifying than you had ever imagined.

Enjoy the game’s unique 2D hand-drawn monochrome art style, that provides a visually pleasing aesthetic yet lends itself to the cosmic horror/sense of dread perfectly. Each visual element within the game conveys the emotions and messages that the developer wants to communicate with the player.

The game features a branching narrative for the player to explore. Perhaps your character may succumb to the madness after accessing and understanding the mystical knowledge, resulting in them walking down the path of self-destruction -- but there is no other path you can walk. ..

KEY FEATURES

  • Black and white hand-painted art, set in the 70s of a parallel universe.

  • You have a Keeper with you throughout the game.

  • Using your "Awake" to explore the secrets hidden within.

  • Illustrations of character or object closeups are used in the conversations. Observe carefully, and you may discover something useful.
