Image Games enters into partnership with Anshar Studios to produce an RPG
Image Games, a member of the Movie Games family, announced that it has entered into a partnership with Anshar Studios, an award-winning development studio from Katowice, Poland, specializing in role-playing games. The companies will jointly produce an AA-class RPG game with a gangster theme. The first presentation of the title is likely to take place in the first quarter of next year.
Image Games is a company founded by Movie Games, a video game developer and publisher, and Platige Image, a production and post-production studio known for cinematics for the world's biggest game publishers (Ubisoft, Square Enix, CDProjekt Red, among others).
“Image Games combines Movie Games' know-how in game development and Platige Image's experience in visual storytelling. For me personally, Anshar Studios is a dream partner to create our first game. In my opinion, it's one of the strongest European studios specializing in indie premium RPGs. Their portfolio is full of games appreciated by players and critics,” says Piotr Gnyp, Image Games co-founder and board member and CMO Movie Games.
Anshar Studios is a game developer realizing both its own productions (Gamedec, Detached) and cooperating on some of the highly acclaimed external productions. The team participated in works on such well-known titles as Observer: System Redux (Bloober Team), Divinity: Original Sin 2: The Four Relics of Rivellon (Larian Studios) or Dead by Daylight (Behaviour Interactive).
“As a studio that specializes in narrative system games, we are excited to work with Image Games to create a tactical RPG. We will be telling the story of human relationships through the lens of gangs, doing so through both gameplay and story. Marta Fijak, who previously worked as a designer for Frostpunk, will be the creative director of the project,” says Lukasz Hacura, CEO of Anshar Studios.

The competences and experience of the team involved in the project are a guarantee that our production will be perfected both from the narrative and technical point of view," adds Karol Zbikowski, CEO of Platige Image.
David Jaffe, cooperating with Movie Games, will be a creative consultant for the project. Jaffe is a legendary game creator previously working for Sony Santa Monica, the originator and director of God of War and Twisted Metal series known from PlayStation.
