Hi-Rez Studios’ team based shooter Paladins is a fast paced FPS that sets itself apart with character customization and fantasy themed visuals. Paladins is currently in beta within North America and Europe.

”We’re very excited to partner with Tencent to bring Paladins to China”, said Todd Harris, Hi-Rez Studios co-founder and COO. “Tencent’s track record of leadership and excellence with FPS games and esports offerings within China is impeccable. There is no better partner in China. We are especially excited for what this means for the game’s worldwide competitive future”

As part of the announcement to expose Paladins to Chinese players, Tencent announced a series of activities that will be held to distinguish the best Paladins players in China. The top Chinese Paladins team will fly to Atlanta, GA to compete with players from around the world in the first ever Paladins Invitational Tournament at Hi-Rez Expo on January 5-8, 2017.

Paladins has been developed to support competitive play including features already in the Beta client around strong cheat detection, a competitive ranked queue, and a robust spectator client. Paladins has several thriving competitive teams already and the combination of shooter mechanics with creative card loadouts and in-match item builds creates a unique competitive environment.
