Gods, Glory and Battle Await in PUBG MOBILE’s Version 4.4 Update
PUBG MOBILE, one of the world’s most popular mobile games, is excited to reveal a wealth of new additions in its Version 4.4 Update. Available from today until July 7th, players can experience PUBG MOBILE’s new Hero’s Crown themed mode, where ancient Greece transforms the game with legendary challenges, heroic powers and a floating island suspended high above the action.
Alongside the new themed gameplay, players can look forward to updates across Classic Mode, World of Wonder, Metro Royale, Home and more deliver new ways for players to compete, explore and team up with friends.
The Version 4.4 Update introduces players to Hero’s Crown, a new themed mode inspired by ancient Greek legends. Available across Erangel, Livik and Rondo, locations including Yasnaya Polyana, Ruins, Ferry Pier and Mylta have been transformed into Greek-inspired zones featuring themed combat areas, new challenges and opportunities for exploration.
At the centre of the themed mode lies the Crown’s Abode, a floating island where the strongest teams can compete for rewards and challenge the mighty centaur Helios. Throughout each match, players can build shared Glory by completing themed trials across the map. Achilles’ Trial tests speed and precision through fast-paced dash gameplay, Spartan’s Trial challenges squads to defend against incoming waves of enemies, Prometheus’ Trial centres around lighting the Sacred Fire, while Icarus’ Trial takes players through aerial obstacle challenges. Gryphon Trials scattered throughout the world offer additional chances to earn supplies and Glory through football-inspired mini-games.
Hero’s Crown also introduces a range of themed items and abilities designed to enhance combat and movement during matches. The Heart of Fury grants players a powerful forward dash and temporary combat buffs, the Battle Flag creates a support zone that strengthens nearby teammates, while Wax Wings allow players to launch into the air and glide across the map. Players can also wield the Laurel - M1 Garand, a themed weapon with enhanced abilities and evolving visual effects tied to Glory progression. After defeating Helios within the Crown’s Abode, players can even recruit the legendary centaur warrior as an ally, gaining access to his ranged attacks, healing abilities and charging assaults.
Classic Mode receives a range of gameplay additions and combat improvements. Players can now take to the roads in the new Roadster, a stylish two-seater convertible complete with a turbo boost system, available across multiple maps including Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Livik, Nusa and Rondo. The Panzerfaust expands to additional maps and receives gameplay improvements, while the JS9 weapon now appears across more locations than ever before. Firearm balance updates for sniper rifles, assault rifles and shotguns arrive alongside smoother semi-auto firing controls and additional gameplay refinements designed to enhance the overall combat experience. Livik also receives a new Spawn Island where players can gather, warm up and interact with teammates before matches begin.
The Version 4.4 Update also introduces Flash Crew, a new intelligent team-up system designed to help players find compatible teammates and build stronger squads. By joining crews, improving Rapport with teammates and unlocking rewards together, players can enjoy a more social and streamlined team-up experience supported by upgraded communication features and refined squad systems.
World of Wonder continues to evolve with significant upgrades to map discovery, matchmaking and Creator tools. A new standalone WOW Lobby makes it easier for players to discover maps, form teams and jump into matches, while new join mid-match functionality allows players to enter ongoing games with reduced waiting times. The update also introduces several improvements to the WOW Creator experience. The WOW Base Required Pack has been renamed to the WOW Rookie Starter Pack, with significantly reduced download sizes to make the rookie tutorial more accessible for new creators. Additional updates include a smoother resource download experience for editing tools, alongside improvements to the Curator Team system with expanded growth goals and rewards for curators.
Metro Royale Chapter 32 arrives with new season collectibles and a fresh PvE encounter featuring the powerful centaur warrior Helios. Elsewhere, Season 30 delivers updated season rewards, Ultimate Royale events, Ranked Arena updates and new Weekend Joy team-up events packed with bonuses and rewards. Players can also look forward to the return of the fan-favourite Dinoground themed mode coming to the Version 4.4 Update.
Home Mode receives a host of new content and social features, including the debut of the new Starfall Sanctuary Home Style and a new Parking Lot Gameplay season. Players can participate in Home Competitions, host Crew Celebration events with friends and unlock a variety of themed rewards, decorations and interactive features throughout the season.
