DevGAMM Sets New European Record with 1,100+ Attendees!

DevGAMM has hit a major milestone with its largest event in Europe to date, drawing in 1,122 attendees from 53 countries. Held from November 3-7, the event featured two key components: the Madeira Games Summit and the Lisbon Conference. While 44% of the attendees were from Portugal, the UK, Poland, and Spain were also strongly represented.

The Lisbon Conference was a hub of industry insight, featuring over 75 speakers from major companies including Xbox, Sandfall Interactive, Warhorse Studios, 11 bit studios, Sony Interactive Entertainment, GSC Game World, Unity Technologies, Miniclip, Giants Software Entertainment, Scopely, Sybo Games, Riot Games, Ubisoft, and many more.

This year’s conference also hosted the largest Game Showcase in DevGAMM history, presenting more than 80 games across both days. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in vibrant networking, developer activities, workshops, Table Talks, and VIP experiences, making this one of the most dynamic events held in Lisbon’s energetic district.

In April 2025, DevGAMM opened submissions for the DevGAMM Awards, celebrating excellence in AA and indie game development. The awards featured a $100,000 prize pool sponsored by Scorewarrior, with an additional $35,000 available in extra categories sponsored by Epic Games Store, Aptoide, Astra Logical, and tinyBuild. The final award ceremony took place at DevGAMM in Lisbon, complete with an exciting show featuring nominees, competition judges, and special guest announcers.

The Awards were supported by Steam with the DevGAMM Awards Celebration event, featuring all nominated games, top jury-voted titles, and several standout projects from the Lisbon Showcase. The event was featured on the Portuguese main page of Steam and collected over 7 million unique impressions and more than 230,000 unique views worldwide.

The Madeira Games Summit, powered by eGamesLab, marked the first high-level event hosted by DevGAMM on the beautiful island of Madeira. This summit brought together over 120 industry professionals from leading companies like Epic Games, Unreal Engine, 2K Games, Bossa Games, Electronic Arts, FunPlus, Krafton, Unity, and many more.

The Monte Palace Morning Reception, sponsored by Epic Games, kicked off the Summit at Funchal's stunning botanical garden. Guests enjoyed local pastry and breathtaking views before attending workshops led by Rami Ismail and Tim Browne. The second day featured speeches and fireside chats with industry leaders like Maria Sayans, Mariina Hallikainen, and Chris Petrovic, brilliantly hosted by Lewis Packwood, Features Editor at GamesIndustry.biz. Roundtable discussions, sponsored by PassPortU, allowed decision-makers to explore key topics. The Summit concluded with a vibrant gathering, featuring local food, Madeira wine, live music, and DJ beats for an unforgettable celebration.
