BAFTA Games in Concert Brings its Landmark Show to Audiences Across the UK Following London World Premiere

BAFTA, in collaboration with Nibbs Events, Esk and Kilimanjaro Live, today announces final details for the launch of the BAFTA Games in Concert UK tour, bringing its landmark orchestral celebration of video games music to audiences across the country.

Following the world premiere at London’s Royal Festival Hall, the tour marks the first time BAFTA has presented a public live event of this kind, taking its orchestral interpretation of video games music to audiences across the UK, honouring more than two decades of music recognised by the BAFTA Games Awards ‘Music’ category.

Featuring BAFTA Games Awards-winning and nominated music, the concert showcases iconic soundtracks from some of the most critically acclaimed video games of the past 20 years. Performed live by leading symphony orchestras across the UK, each performance combines full orchestral and choral arrangements with synchronised visuals and gameplay including in-game soloists, creating a fully immersive live experience.

Jane Millichip, CEO of BAFTA, said: “BAFTA Games in Concert is a celebration of the extraordinary creativity behind video games music and the powerful role it plays in shaping our emotional connection to games. Following the incredible response to the London premiere, we’re delighted to take this experience on the road for the first time, bringing together world-class orchestras and audiences across the UK to honour more than 20 years of BAFTA-recognised games music.”

The touring production builds on the success of the London premiere, presenting the same core programme while featuring regionally based orchestras, bringing the scale and ambition of BAFTA Games in Concert to audiences nationwide.
