ZipRush: Surf the Void Brings a Gravity-Defying Extreme Sport to Meta Quest This September

Narriflux is excited to announce that ZipRush: Surf the Void, a high-speed VR extreme sport built around wall-riding, ceiling-surfing, and player-created tracks, will launch into Meta Quest Early Access on September 3, 2026 for $9.99 USD. The game is available now in Early Access on Steam.

Set in the ruins of a collapsed world still being uncovered, ZipRush: Surf the Void turns walls, ceilings, curved surfaces, and open space into high-speed routes waiting to be created. Players move through each course by reading the environment, testing possible lines, and inventing faster ways forward through timing, momentum, and physical control.

At its core, ZipRush is a VR extreme sport about speed, risk, and route discovery. Tracks are traversable surfaces that players can ride, leave, recover onto, and combine in unexpected ways. Every course becomes a space to study and master, where the fastest solution may be above, below, across a wall, or through open air.

Movement is controlled through the player’s body and both hands. Point a controller toward a direction and move forward, then manage speed by changing hand position. Hands farther from the chest accelerate, while hands closer to the chest slow down or brake. Turning at high speed requires control, and pushing too hard can send players off the track into a falling state where recovery becomes part of the run.

That recovery is driven by two key abilities. Thrust gives players a quick directional impulse for mid-air correction, dodging, and returning to the track, while Gravity Arc fires a fixed-length tether that can pull players toward a surface, redirect momentum, transition between tracks, or create entirely new shortcuts. In ZipRush, bypassing the obvious path is not an exploit. It is part of the design.

“Most racing games ask players to master the fastest route,” said Hsin-Chien Huang, founder of Narriflux. “ZipRush asks them to discover it. We wanted to create a VR extreme sport where movement, creativity, and physical technique matter as much as speed. Every new route the community finds expands what’s possible.”

ZipRush: Surf the Void features:

  • Player-Driven Route Discovery - There is rarely one correct racing line. Combine wall rides, ceiling transitions, Gravity Arc, and Thrust to discover and invent faster routes through each course.

  • Free Movement Across Traversable Surfaces – Race across flat ground, curved surfaces, vertical walls, ceilings, and open space without rails or predetermined racing lines.

  • Gravity Arc Traversal – Use a fixed-length tether to recover, redirect, attach to surfaces, and create shortcuts through each course.

  • Body-Based Speed Control – Accelerate and brake with hand position, turning every run into a balance of speed, timing, and physical control.

  • Track Builder and UGC – Build, test, publish, and share custom tracks, from smooth flow runs to technical precision challenges.

  • Multiplayer, Leaderboards, and Ghost Racing – Compete live, chase leaderboard times, and learn from ghost runs as the community discovers faster solutions.

Official tracks introduce the fundamentals, while player-made tracks push the system further. With the Track Builder, players can create and share their own courses, giving the community new spaces to test, refine, and reinvent the sport. As more tracks are built and more routes are discovered, ZipRush becomes a player-shaped competition where each creation can introduce new techniques, new rivalries, and new ideas about what a run can be.

The result is a VR extreme sport built around movement as much as speed. Each course becomes something to solve, refine, and rewrite through repetition, creativity, and control.
