Where Winds Meet Announces Charitable Sponsorship of Giant Panda "Qinchuan"
Everstone Studio announced a heartfelt charity initiative as the highly anticipated "Qinchuan" update for its open-world Wuxia ARPG, Where Winds Meet, draws near. In a unique convergence of names and spirits, the studio has pledged a three-year charitable sponsorship of an 18-year-old giant panda also named "Qinchuan". This pledge, made on behalf of the game’s global community of wanderers, transforms the virtual chivalry and vow of protection into a real-world mission for conservation.
In collaboration with the Shaanxi Rare Wild Animal Rescue Base, this initiative will dedicate its donations not only to the daily care of Qinchuan but also to giant panda breeding, wildlife rescue efforts, habitat infrastructure improvements, and public education initiatives.
A Three-Year Commitment to the Future
In early April, Where Winds Meet launched the "Echoes Across the World" initiative, uniting wanderers globally through shared voices.Within just two weeks, the event achieved a staggering 100 million "resonances." In honor of the incredible display of community solidarity, the game decided to transform this virtual power into a meaningful real-world impact by supporting the conservation of the Giant Panda in the name of all of the wanderers worldwide.
The star of this sponsorship is "Qinchuan" (Pedigree No. 713), a spirited male currently residing in the Qinling Giant Panda Research Center. Native to the real-world geographical counterpart of the game's Qinchuan map, the Qinling giant panda is a unique subspecies with a significantly smaller population and a more restricted habitat, making their conservation status even more critically endangered.
The sponsorship period will run for 3 years starting April 28, 2026, during which the donation made in the name of Where Winds Meet players will support critical operations at the Qinling Giant Panda Research Center, including:
Feeding and specialized breeding programs for the Qinling giant panda population.
Field rescue efforts and infrastructure improvements for rare wildlife habitats.
Public education and scientific outreach to foster a global culture of ecological awareness.
