Wall World Strategy announced for PC, playtest live now

Publisher and developer Alawar (in conjunction with the Galaxies Gaming Showcase) are proud to announce Wall World Strategy for PC, a bold new game set in the hostile, challenging Wall World sci-fi universe. A fusion of 3D colony sim and survival/tower-defense RTS combat, Wall World Strategy gives players a new way to explore and experience this deadly setting.

Players can challenge the wall and its lethal alien inhabitants today via a live, open playtest on Steam, with the full game targeting a Fall 2026 release. Check out the debut gameplay trailer below.

Even for veterans of Wall World and Wall World 2 will find a new and thrilling experience here, completely separate from the action-roguelite formula fans are familiar with. While the original games had players piloting a single robo-spider and exploring the uncharted depths of the planet, Wall World Strategy tells the story of the towns and outposts that support such deadly expeditions. Players are tasked with building an entire mining operation and thriving town on the sheer cliff face, investing resources in defensive structures to fend off the wall's deadly alien inhabitants.

Expanding from low-fi pixel art to detailed 3D graphics (zoom in and watch your workers go about their daily lives, or on off the clock), Wall World Strategy gives players their closest, most in-depth look at this perilous, vertigo-inducing environment. Developed internally at Alawar, Wall World Strategy represents the studio's expanding ambitions to bring bigger, more involved gaming experiences to players worldwide.

As with the previous Wall World games, Alawar aim to work closely with the Wall World Strategy community, and the live playtest is a key part of that plan. Players will get their first taste of this bold new spinoff, and their feedback will help steer the game's development to deliver the best experience possible when it launches later this year. Join the playtest and wishlist the full game on Steam now, and follow War World Strategy on [socials] for updates and news. Last time, the Wall was your enemy. Now, it's your home.
