Towers of Aghasba is a stunning open-world fantasy builder filled with majestic creatures, quirky characters, and gorgeous hand-painted backgrounds, partly thanks to the efforts of Studio Ghibli artist, Yoichi Nishikawa.
Nishikawa is one of the premier Studio Ghibli background artists, with work featured in over 30 films and animated shows, including The Boy and the Heron and Howl's Moving Castle.
In the absolutely charming interview he gave to Dreamlit Games, Nishikawa explains that he had his doubts about how his work would be adapted, but he was surprised to see how his painterly, anime-style background art was fantastically rendered in a 3D game world.
