The moon just got a whole lot worse: Descent of Lunaris unleashes massive demo update
Indie developer Unison Games has just unleashed a major demo update for Descent of Lunaris, its surreal, psychological sci-fi dungeon crawler set on the moon, inspired by Wizardry, Shin Megami Tensei, and Persona. The beefed-up demo is available to play right now on Steam, giving players another reason to descend into the moon's increasingly disturbing depths.
Set in 2070, Descent of Lunaris follows a team of specialized operatives investigating a mysterious signal from inside the moon after the machines at a lunar mining base turn on their human counterparts. What starts as an investigative mission becomes a descent into a harrowing dungeon crawl full of unsettling encounters and twisted reflections of human civilization that warp more the further down you go.

The massive Descent of Lunaris demo update introduces the prologue and entire first dungeon, complete with hidden secrets, two distinct combat systems, and a stability mechanic that makes exploration increasingly dangerous as reality warps around you. As stability deteriorates, tougher encounters emerge and the dungeon itself can shift to reveal hidden paths. You can retreat to the moonbase to regroup, upgrade gear, and restore stability before diving back in.
Blending classic grid-based dungeon exploration with turn-based JRPG and tactical combat, Descent of Lunaris delivers old-school RPG goodness wrapped in an industrial sci-fi nightmare.
The updated demo is available now, let us know if you'd like any additional information or a chat with Unison Games!
