The Journey Home is Taking Part in Steam Next Fest with its Demo
Belgian indie developer Joey's Entertainment officially released the Steam demo for its upcoming meditative side-scrolling adventure, The Journey Home, and is taking part in Steam Next Fest October 2026!

The game is developed and written by a husband-and-wife duo: game developer/artist Joey and USA TODAY best-selling author Sophie-Leigh Robbins. The Journey Home takes players beyond time and space: shifting between ages, solving surreal puzzles, and searching for answers to the questions that haunt us all.
The game first gained attention at last year’s Gamescom, where its themes and moving atmosphere left the majority of players at the booth in tears.
Blending the tense, atmospheric environmental storytelling of INSIDE with the deep emotional resonance of Journey, the game asks profound questions about life and death through minimalist gameplay and stunning artistic direction.
