Ember and Blade is turning up the heat this November with the return of the Arbor’s Crucible, the punishing endgame arena first introduced during Steam Next Fest. The new Infernal Trial transforms Arbor’s Crucible into a limited-time Steam event running from November 10th through December 8th, where players battle relentless waves of enemies under randomized preset blessings to earn a place on the leaderboard. The fiercest demon slayers will earn a place among the legends, with their names immortalized in the full release of Ember and Blade.
The leaves are falling, and the demons are calling. Sanctuary’s looking a little more festive this season-The Arbor now glows in warm autumn light, decked out with Thanksgiving décor and just enough pumpkins to keep things spooky. Even a few unlucky elite monsters have found themselves cursed with pumpkin heads in honor of the holiday spirit. But behind the cozy colors and festive lights, the Infernal Trial waits. The leaderboard is divided into three weapon categories-Sword, Dagger, and Hammer-each tied directly to event rewards. This structure ensures every fighting style has a fair shot at glory, with a total of 10 winners to be recognized.
