The Guns & Dragons Playtest Has Been Extended!
ABUTTON Inc. knows how busy everyone is and has been listening to players who want more time to play Guns & Dragons. Today, they are pleased to announce that the current free Steam playtest will be extended until 12:00 a.m. PT on September 30th. Players can request access now by visiting the game’s official Steam page and clicking the “Request Access” button.
Along with the insane combat and OP gun builds that were included in the first playtest, the ongoing playtest also includes:
A new playable character Eryn the Elf
A brand-new bow weapon family with 23 weapons
Added a 4th player, so you can play solo or with up to 3 friends
Improvements to roguelite progression, UI, combat spaces, and more
More playtest update details are below, or head over to Steam and start playing!

The new playtest adds Eryn, a new forest-dwelling Elf hero who uses spirit flowers and wind magic to control space and support herself in battle. Joining her is a brand-new family of bows, which includes 23 different weapons spread across four categories: Elven Bows, Heavy Bows, Crossbows, and Stingers. Together, Eryn and the new bow lineup introduce fresh movement options, new ranged playstyles, and additional build possibilities beyond the game’s existing gunplay.
A major change for this new test is the move to 4-player co-op, a feature added in direct response to player feedback. While the game’s original design centered on a 3-player experience, the team is using this playtest to begin gathering live feedback and data around larger party-size gameplay.
On top of the new content, ABUTTON has implemented a number of gameplay improvements based on feedback from the first playtest. These include updates to the roguelite progression structure to make build choices feel clearer and more meaningful, stronger growth scaling within a single run, improvements to the game’s UI, and wider combat spaces that better support mid and long-range playstyles.
Guns & Dragons is in active development for Windows PCs, with more details about game mechanics, playtest opportunities, and its availability planned for a later date.
