Sydney Hunter and the Curse of the Mayan for Switch & PS4 is going physical!
CollectorVision & First Press Games announce their collaboration to publish a physical release of Sydney Hunter and the Curse of the Mayan for Nintendo Switch & PlayStation 4.
The physical edition of Sydney Hunter and the Curse of the Mayan is created as a collaboration between First Press Games and CollectorVision Games, with the release scheduled for Summer 2022 for PlayStation 4 and Winter 2022 for Nintendo Switch.
The Pre-Order for the products will open on Saturday, 23 April 2022 at 17:00 (5 PM) CEST / 11:00 (11 AM) EDT. Early adopters receive an exclusive pre-order bonus in the form of a numbered Collector's Coin.
The game will be available as a Regular and Collector's Edition for each console. The carts & discs are region-lock free and will work on any regional revision of their related consoles.
The Regular Edition (37.99€) comes with everything one could wish for in physical release - a lovingly designed cover with artwork inside, an in-depth manual with over 50 pages, a special slipcase and of course the full game with all patches included on the cartridge or disc.
The Collector's Edition (72.99€) comes in a large premium box, which is a true treasure chest full of bonus items - a Premium CD Soundtrack made in Japan, Clear Files with multiple print extras and as a special highlight of this Collector's Edition, one of two high-quality Jigsaw Puzzle Sets are included.

Each Jigsaw Puzzle Set is also available as a separate product, so it is not strictly required to buy both Collector's Editions for the extended motive. The Japan-style CD Soundtrack is available separately as well.
About the Game
Sydney Hunter and the Curse of the Mayan is a love-letter to 8-bit action-platformer games. A true Retro-feast with challenging gameplay & a dash of adventure-elements, featuring a huge number of Maya-inspired levels & bosses.
You play as Sydney Hunter, adventurer supreme, who by sheer luck manages to get trapped inside a massive Maya pyramid. He soon discovers that the "Feathered Serpent" Kukulkan has broken up the sacred Haab calendar into 7 individual pieces and hid them inside the very same pyramid!
Widespread chaos and a time freeze will certainly follow if the Haab calendar isn't put back together. With the support of the local Maya population, Sydney Hunter must find all pieces, defeat Kukulkan, to return peace and balance.
