Spacious Places Lets You Unwind by Playing Along on Meta Quest Today
Spacious Music is proud to announce that Spacious Places, a mindfulness and meditation app that blends nature therapy and music therapy, has launched on the Meta Quest Store. Built for users of all ages, Spacious Places invites players to unwind by playing virtual instruments inside calming, beautiful environments.

Wellness through musical play in beautiful places
Spacious Places is built around gentle interaction, allowing users to unwind by playing instruments along with music instead of simply listening to it. Each space is designed to feel like a shift in pace: you choose an instrument, follow the track, and let the environment set the mood while your hands follow along in a way that is relaxing and repeatable.
Unlike many XR music experiences that focus on a single instrument, Spacious Places includes 16 virtual instruments and a growing library of musical ambience that invites curiosity without any pressure. Notes are accessible, timing is forgiving, and the experience is welcoming from the first session, whether you want a few quiet moments or a longer escape.

Eighteen Places to visit, with Vistas and Journeys
At launch, Spacious Places includes 18 places, each with a distinct mood and landscape. You can settle into the soft snowfall of Winter Whisper, trade it for the warm sand and sky of Dune Solitude, or drift into starlight and stillness in Nebula Dreams. From ocean waves in Rose Coast and Indigo Beach to high-altitude air in Alpine Serenity and Celestial Peaks, every place is meant to feel like a personal retreat you can return to at will.
Each place begins with stationary Vistas, quiet viewpoints where you can look around, breathe, and start playing. Select places also include a Journey or Sunset, offering a gentle way to experience the environment while the music continues, letting the scene unfold without pulling you out of the moment.
Places include: Alpine Serenity, Rose Coast, Winter Whisper, Tranquil Tropics, Green Serene, Indigo Beach, Soothing Savanna, Alpine Sunrise, Emerald Cascade, Nebula Dreams, Dune Solitude, Pyramids of Peace, Skyflower Plains, Icelandic Borealis, Celestial Peaks, Saguaro Canyon, Rustic Paradise, Crystal Flats.

Sixteen instruments, played with hands or controllers
Spacious Places supports both controllers and hand tracking, allowing users to choose the method that feels most natural. At launch, the instrument lineup spans soft, melodic timbres and deeper percussive tones, so a session can feel like a gentle lull or a steady pulse depending on what you select.
Instruments available at launch include: Congas, Chimes, Toy Xylophone, Bells, Glockenspiel, Djembe, Handpan, Balafon, Gong, Harp, Darbuka, Tank Drum, Kalimba, Vibraphone, Wooden Xylophone.
To complement the musical enjoyment, Spacious Places also includes interactive elements such as fireworks, snowflakes, lanterns, and bubbles, adding small moments of wonder and delight that brighten the space without distracting from the sounds and scenery.
Music by Phil Maher and Justin Hebert
The launch soundtrack includes tracks from Phil Maher, a UK-based artist, with enhancements and songs by Justin Hebert. Spacious Music plans to periodically update Spacious Places with additional Places, songs, and instruments in future updates.
