Soaring Ever Higher | Forever Skies is Officially Coming to Xbox Series X/S in Summer 2026
Far From Home is excited to announce that Forever Skies will be touching down on Xbox Series X/S in summer 2026. The news was revealed today as part of the Galaxies Showcase, alongside other major game announcements.
Forever Skies originally launched in full in April 2025 for PC, as well as a timed console exclusive on PS5. Shortly after this the game surpassed the 500,000 sale milestone, and so the team is now extremely excited to finally be able to bring the game to even more players.
The Xbox launch will also bring good news for PC and PS5 players, as it will coincide with the release of the third and final installment of the major “Echoes” update series. Far From Home has been developing and releasing these free updates to introduce new content and game changes that have been requested by the community. Details of what can be expected in the update itself will be shared soon.
In Forever Skies, players take on the role of scientists sent back to a toxic, post-apocalyptic Earth to uncover a cure for a virus plaguing the last remnants of humanity. Using advanced technology, players explore, scavenge, and survive while piloting a customizable high-tech airship. The game can be played solo or with up to four players in co-op mode.
HIGHEST DISCOUNTS TO DATE
To mark the big news occasion, both the PC and PS5 versions of the game have received their biggest discounts to date. Steam players can grab the game at 50% off, while PS5 players can purchase the Deluxe Edition at 40% off.
