Shard Squad Gets New Date Reveal Trailer for Important Reason

The anticipated cute-monster roguelike survivor Shard Squad, developed by The Root Studios and published by Nuntius Games, has had its release date adjusted to November 10, 2025. The game was originally planned for early November, but the delay is only a matter of days.

A small delay for a big reason
The game is practically finished, with development progressing smoothly. The decision to delay it slightly came exclusively from the publisher for strategic release timing.

Jonathan Silva, CEO of Nuntius Games, explained the decision:

“Our focus is to ensure every Nuntius Games release has the care and polish it deserves. This extra week will help us make Shard Squad even better, especially in terms of its promotion, showing respect and appreciation both for those who are already excited about it and for those who will discover it on launch day.”

What is Shard Squad
Inspired by classics like Vampire Survivors but featuring a vibrant art style and adorable monster themes, Shard Squad began as an experimental project that quickly evolved into a full-fledged game. It boldly combines roguelike survivor mechanics with monster-taming elements, offering deep team-building strategy, unique synergies, and a wide variety of abilities.

Each stage brings new challenges, enemies, and bosses with distinct personalities and attack patterns.

Director and programmer Rennan Costa, who also worked on the popular project Bagdex, describes the game as a “beautiful, varied, and strategic experience made for fans of the genre who want something fresh and exciting.
