Romestead releases Autumn Update and joins Steam’s PvE Survival Craft Fest
Today, Three Friends, the industry veterans behind Valheim and Minecraft, and indie studio Beartwigs, are thrilled to announce Romestead’s Autumn Update is now available, with the survival townbuilder joining Steam’s PvE Survival Craft Fest 2026 taking place from August 31st - September 7th.
Alongside a 20% discount as part of the game’s participation in the Survival Craft Fest, players can expect a host of changes with this update adding 30 new unique dungeons, changes to Challenge Dungeons, Steam Input support, wider fixes including multiplayer stability, and more!
Romestead Autumn Update Key Features
30 New Dungeons makes exploring even more exciting, with Challenge Dungeons also receiving an update, adding over 70 new rooms to discover.
Refined World Generation has been implemented with changes to dungeons, which fixes weird desert entrance generation and improves overall gameplay experience. To see changes to dungeons and refined world generation, players are required to create a new world.
Steam Input Support means controller set-up is easier and smoother, alongside adding more customisation options including button remapping. This feature will continue to be refined and updated over time based on community feedback.
Farewell “Furniture Mode” the “press R to toggle furniture mode” is now more intuitive and has been replaced so players can now press and hold the interact button (E by default) to pick up items like the workbench, barricades, and other furniture!
Improvements to Multiplayer Connection including the addition of a network connection indicator and wider refinements to make multiplayer connection more reliable.
Dozens of QoL Changes including a new farmland removal tool, better pathfinding for citizens, the ability to sleep in a wider range of bed and decorations now returning materials when demolished.
