Reverse: 1999’s 3.4 Phase 2 update now live, debuts 6-star character Cheng Heguang and expanded gameplay content
Bluepoch today announced that Reverse: 1999, the 20th Century time-travel strategic RPG, has officially launched Phase 2 of its Version 3.4 update, “Spring Unending,” as part of the game’s ongoing 2.5th Anniversary celebration. Starting today, players can experience the second chapter of the storyline inspired by tales of immortals and martial arts in ancient China, alongside the release of a new 6-star character, expanded gameplay content, and continued in-game rewards.
Originally teased in Phase 1, Cheng Heguang plays a pivotal role in the second chapter of Spring Unending.
A man of unwavering integrity who stands against injustice, Cheng Heguang is now summonable in the “Soaring Aspirations” banner. His dedicated Character Story, “To Slay a Tiger,” is also available, which will earn Clear Drops and growth materials.
The new limited character, Paper Heron, is still summonable in her banner “Her Heart-Cut Spring.” The free-spirited Daoist swordswoman travels adrift with her mule, helping those in need along the way. As the featured limited character of Version 3.4, Paper Heron also assumes an important role in the overarching story of Spring Unending.
New Gameplay & Features
Phase 2 of Version 3.4 continues to expand on gameplay, including:
The release of the Pre-Storm Protocol Update: The beloved survival & exploration gameplay returns with upgraded systems and rewards, including a Message Board System, Fruits of the Practice System, and Expanded Exploration Content. The Free 4* arcanist Reed, additional growth materials, and limited items can be earned.
Continuation of Musae’s Arcade Multiplayer Mode: The brand-new party-style multiplayer mode is still available to play. Players can compete or cooperate in mini-games to earn Horropedia’s themed garment, a Limited Portrait, Crystal Casket and upgrade materials.
Re-Release of Version 2.5 “Showdown in Chinatown”: Returning for a limited time from May 15 until May 25.
