Retrovibe by GOG, and more!

Together with an independent publisher, Retrovibe, we’re joining forces to launch Retrovibe by GOG, a new partnership supporting independent developers in bringing their games to players across PC storefronts and consoles!

The initiative combines Retrovibe’s hands-on publishing experience with GOG’s platform expertise, marketing capabilities and connection to PC players worldwide. Together, we want to help distinctive games find their audience, from development and marketing to launch and beyond.

Since its founding, GOG has been committed to preserving gaming history and keeping great games playable for years to come. Along the way, we’ve worked with creators who draw on the best of gaming’s past while finding new ways to entertain players.

Launched in 2021, Retrovibe shares that appreciation for games with character. With titles such as Project Warlock, and Shardpunk, the publisher has worked with independent teams creating games that combine familiar influences with ideas of their own.

With GOG now under the ownership of its original co-founder, Michal Kicinski, who also co-founded Retrovibe, the two companies have an opportunity to work more closely together.

What can developers expect:

  • Funding and development support

    • Project funding, production guidance, QA and hands-on support to help bring your game to release.

  • Positioning and marketing strategy

    • Finding what makes your game stand out, building its audience and planning campaigns that reach the right players.

  • Community and creator outreach

    • PR, creators, events and community campaigns that connect your game with players before and after launch.

  • PC and console publishing

    • Storefront expertise, platform relationships, porting, certification and coordinated releases across PC and consoles.

  • Long-term publishing support

    • Updates, promotions, sales strategy and opportunities to keep your game growing beyond launch.

Retrovibe and GOG will continue operating as separate brands, with Retrovibe providing publishing services and GOG contributing its platform knowledge, marketing expertise and opportunities to connect games with its audience.
