Poker Meets Martial Arts: Award-Winning Card Battler Kungfu Card Debuts Demo for Steam Next Fest
2P Games and Miwu Studio announce that Kungfu Card, winner of Dice Con’s Best Chinese Indie Board Game of the Year, has officially launched its demo for Steam Next Fest. By merging the strategic tension of poker with the fluid combat of martial arts, Kungfu Card delivers a tactical card-battling experience where every hand tells a story.
ABOUT THE GAME
Kungfu Card removes complex energy costs and replaces them with pure psychological warfare. Using familiar hand rankings such as Straights, Pairs, and Triplets, players chain together dazzling martial arts combos. This "easy to learn, hard to master" approach allows players to focus on the mind games: do you probe your opponent with small moves, or build your hand for a decisive strike?
KEY FEATURES
The Three Stance System: Adapt to the flow of battle by switching fluidly between three distinct fighting stances:
Offensive Stance: Chain cards to unleash powerful strikes that are difficult to block.
Defensive Stance: Convert incoming pressure into defensive advantages.
Feint Stance: Prioritize card draw to find the perfect opening in your opponent's guard.
The "Disrupt" Mechanic: Anticipate your opponent’s move and play specific card combinations (like triplets or straights) to Disrupt their momentum, breaking their flow and opening a window for a devastating counter-attack.
Diverse Martial Arts Schools: Explore multiple fighting styles, from the precise forms of Emei to the unpredictable nature of Drunken Fist. Customize your strategy by combining specific "Internal Techniques" and "Special Moves."
