OUT NOW: Sesame Street: Friends & Fun launches today on consoles and PC!
Outright Games, in collaboration with Sesame Workshop, today celebrates the official release of Sesame Street: Friends & Fun, launching across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game celebrates kindness, community, and playful learning.
Marking Sesame Street’s first major console game in 15 years, Sesame Street: Friends & Fun invites children and their families to step into the iconic neighbourhood, meet its beloved residents and help prepare for the biggest celebration of the year: the Big Block Party. Players can create their own fully customisable character and become the guest of honour as they lend a hand with the festivities.
There’s plenty to discover across three colourful locations inspired by the world of Sesame Street. Explore the wider Sesame neighborhood, including the Community Garden, Bandstand and Farm, to the sunny Park and attraction-filled Fun Fair, each area is packed with activities, challenges and opportunities to spend time with some of Sesame Street’s most recognisable characters.
Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Tango, Grover, Cookie Monster, Ernie, Bert, The Count, Oscar the Grouch and Big Bird are all on hand to help along the way. Whether it’s cooking up a storm with Cookie Monster, helping Abby with her magic, caring for Tango or keeping a watchful eye on some mischievous chickens, there’s always something to get involved in as the neighbourhood gets ready for the big celebration.
With more than 100 mini-games and activities to play, Sesame Street: Friends & Fun brings together storytelling, exploration and learning in an accessible and engaging experience for young children. Activities range from shape tracing, counting, sorting, and problem-solving to creative challenges and playful moments, giving children tons of opportunities to learn, discover and have fun.
The customisation doesn’t stop with the character, either. Children can design their own home and decorate parts of the neighbourhood, with a wide selection of clothing, furniture and decorative items to choose from. Whether they want to create a colourful home or put their own stamp on Sesame Street, there are many ways to make the world feel like their own.
Carefully designed with younger players in mind, Sesame Street: Friends & Fun features intuitive controls and a welcoming environment that makes for playful learning, encouraging kindness and helping the community. The game can be enjoyed solo or with a friend or family member through two-player local cooperative play offering a shared way to explore Sesame Street and get ready for the Big Block Party.
