Our New Viral Deckbuilder Unveils Major EA Evolution And Six-Month Roadmap
Following its successful Early Access launch on May 20th, developer Storycrop and publisher Okasan’s Recipe have released a comprehensive update detailing the game's ongoing evolution and a brand-new development roadmap outlining the future of the sci-fantasy roguelike deckbuilder.
Since entering Early Access on PC via Steam, Voice of Belldona has received a steady stream of community-driven updates, balance adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements. Taking direct feedback from its growing player base, the development team has focused heavily on refining the tactical combat mechanics, optimizing deckbuilding flexibility, and squashing launch bugs to deliver a smoother, more punishingly satisfying experience.
When chaos knows no end, what kind of fate will you choose? In a world where the only constant is war, Voice of Belldona draws you into an endless cycle of conflict and survival.
In an effort to overcome the turmoil, the people decide to create a little warrior. But this white-haired, god-like entity has a major case of social anxiety?! She turns the once apocalyptic, barren world into a new one filled with races and civilizations previously known only from mythology and fairy tales, and grants the mysterious power of The Source to its inhabitants, including humans.
Voice of Belldona takes place in this fantastic world created by Cheryl and tells the story of her adventures after being unexpectedly awakened again.
Early Access Major Updates & Fixes Summary
Critical Technical Fixes: Resolved region-specific device encoding crashes that prevented game startup and fixed hard freeze issues occurring during mid-battle animations or end-game transitions.
Comprehensive Difficulty Balancing: Significantly reduced enemy health and damage scaling across early-to-mid-game chapters, specific boss fights, and lower difficulty levels to smooth out the learning curve.
Core Mechanics Tuning: Overhauled movement cost mechanics, adjusted specific card modifiers (e.g., armor/burn interactions), and restructured battle blessings to offer immediate utility.
Localization & UI Polish: Thoroughly corrected missing or inaccurate skill descriptions, card effect indicators, and event text dialogue across multiple languages.
The Six-Month Roadmap: Content Plan and Full Release
To sustain its post-launch momentum, the development team expects the transition from Early Access to full release to take around six more months. Throughout this development period, players can look forward to a steady roll-out of new content, including fresh combat allies, neutral and boss-exclusive buildable cards, and synergistic blessing items. Exploration mechanics will also expand via more map layout events and a brand-new "Wandering Events" special system, paired with more complex enemy behaviors and rewarding threats like the Mimic. Crucially, while the narrative-heavy Story Mode was temporarily withheld from Early Access to prevent incomplete pacing, the team is actively polishing script translations, cutscene flow, and character sprites to fully launch Story Mode alongside the official 1.0 release at the end of the six months.
