New Autobattler Roguelike 'Guildrun' Hits 100,000 Steam Wishlists Few Days after Announcement

Indie game studio Leyline is thrilled to announce that roguelike autobattler Guildrun has surpassed 100,000 wishlists on Steam less than four days after its announcement. Guildrun's public demo reached more than 10,000 peak concurrent players during its opening weekend, earning a 95% "Very Positive" rating. The demo is now the top #1 trending demo on Steam, with the full game scheduled to launch on Steam in 2027.

“Of course, we had some projections on how it could go, but this exceeded our wildest expectations. To be honest, we have yet to process what happened. Over the weekend, it was a big surprise seeing thousands of players, the positive reception and many content creators loving our game and posting daily videos on it.

Leyline built Guildrun together with their players. The game was released to a group of alpha testers at the earliest stages of development that evolved into a lively community. Leyline updated their alpha multiple times each week, listening to players and reacting to feedback all the way up to the demo launch last week.

At the creative core of Guildrun is a blend of two highly replayable genres: roguelikes and auto battlers. Players can build a team of unique heroes each run into an unstoppable force as they explore deadly rifts and evolve their builds run after run through traits, items and relics to crush waves of monsters.

Key Features

  • Start small. End broken. Draft a team of unique heroes, level them up to crazy power spikes and combine their abilities with items and relics to discover countless synergies and combinations.

  • No two runs feel the same. Run-to-run, read what you’re offered. The team you build will never be the same twice.

  • Play at your own pace. Short 20 minute runs that you can play at your own pace and open, save and close anytime.

  • Progress through 8 difficulties. Every successful run unlocks a harder challenge for the next. Stack fresh modifiers to climb up the difficulty ladder, then hit Endless mode to chase the top of the global leaderboards.

  • Weekly Patches and an active Community. Since Leyline launched the alpha in January of this year, they have been updating and evolving the game every week
