Kasedo Games Launches Colouring Competition To Celebrate Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II Next Fest Demo
The demo for Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II, the sequel to the critically acclaimed turn-based tactical game, is now playable as part of Steam Next Fest. To celebrate, Kasedo Games has launched a colouring competition, inviting creative Warhammer fans to declare their allegiance by picking either the Necron (Nefershah) or Adeptus Mechanicus (Faustinius) faction commander and colouring them in their own unique style.

The overall winners of the competition - one Faustinus entry and one Nefershah entry - will win over £600 worth of prizes including a digital copy of Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II - Deluxe Edition and more than £500 worth of Warhammer miniatures.

The competition is now open and closes on 13th November 2025. More information on how to enter, list of prizes, and competition rules can be found at mechanicus40k.com/colouringcompetition.
Steam Next Fest
As part of Next Fest, the one-week festival of demos for upcoming titles, players can experience the prologue of the game, where they will play as both the Adeptus Mechanicus, battling against the awakening of a Necron tomb world, and the Necrons, who strive for the resurgence of their dynasty.

The hands-on demo offers players a taste of the strategic gameplay that is again at the forefront of the action, with players able to assemble forces for each mission, choosing from a vastly expanded selection of fighters from each faction’s range. New environmental mechanics will also require players to maneuver their forces like never before and play to their chosen faction’s strengths and weaknesses - take cover behind terrain as the Mechanicus, or destroy it as the Necrons.
