Kakao Games Partners with Hardware Community QuasarZone to Optimize Chrono Odyssey for PC
Kakao Games (co-CEOs Taehwan Kim and Siwoo Lee) today announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with QuasarZone (CEO Hyunseok Kim), Korea’s largest IT and hardware community, to optimize the PC performance of its upcoming title Chrono Odyssey.
Under the agreement, Kakao Games will expand and fine-tune the game’s in-game graphics options, while QuasarZone will use its proprietary hardware testing program, GameReady, to verify compatibility and performance across a wide range of PC configurations.
QuasarZone’s testing goes deep. The team will run Chrono Odyssey on systems spanning many hardware tiers, measuring frame-rate stability and resource usage on each. It will also build complex scenarios that simulate large-scale in-game battles, cross-checking performance under conditions as close as possible to what players actually experience. Using that real-world data, the two companies will redefine Chrono Odyssey’s official minimum and recommended specifications.
Both companies see this as more than a spec-sheet update. With finer graphics options and system standards grounded in measured data, players will know exactly what resolution and target frame rate their hardware can hit before they buy. That clarity cuts down on refunds caused by spec misjudgment, and on the negative sentiment that early performance issues can create.
It also heads off the optimization disputes that vague “recommended spec” labels so often invite. Clear, documented standards that pair resolution, frame rate, and graphics presets give players an objective reference point: expectations converge, and unwarranted performance complaints aimed at the developer ease. Beyond lightening the customer-support load, the partnership will define dedicated targets for budget builds and handheld gaming PCs (UMPCs), lowering the barrier to entry for new players.
