Indie game surprises with arcade release and Steam
Alien Strike: Blasting the Intruders will be released on May 7, 2026, with an initial launch on Steam, but it will also be available in arcades, according to developers on demand.
Versions for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Xbox Series S and X, and PlayStation 4 and 5 are already planned for the future. More information will be released soon.
A real arcade machine for three players
Combo Game Studio was founded even before the game’s development began, when one of its creators was working on building arcade controls and machines-something that ended up directly influencing the project.
Taking the retro concept beyond the screen, the game received a full-size arcade machine version, allowing up to three players simultaneously on the same machine, specially created for events.
The structure was built using MDF, while the entire assembly process-including lighting, buttons, joysticks, and system-was handcrafted by the developer himself, using his previous experience with arcades.
The public reception was extremely positive, with special highlight on the surprise factor when people realized it was an original indie game.

Trivia and References
Alien Strike also brings several tributes and references for fans of classic games such as Metal Slug, Contra, Death Note, The King of Fighters, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In addition, the game features environments inspired by the developers’ hometown, the historic city of Santos.
The game offers a complete structure for those seeking challenge and replayability:
9 stages with varied environments, ranging from urban cities to alien landscapes
15 bosses and 35 types of enemies
A diverse weapon system, with standard and upgraded versions and real-time switching
Campaign mode with normal and hard difficulties
Local multiplayer for up to 3 players simultaneously
