Indie developer Sunnyside Games is happy to announce that an updated playable demo will be available during the Steam Next Fest, for its upcoming flame-wielding metroidvania Nocturnal 2, the sequel to its acclaimed side-scrolling platformer Nocturnal. For those interested in exploring the silent halls of Ytash now, a first demo is already out on Steam!
In this updated demo, players dive into the first segment of the game, igniting their sword to explore the dark depths and towering heights of a forgotten island that consumed itself long ago. Carefully crafted to avoid major lore, the demo offers a streamlined entry point into the world without spoiling the full game.
The refined demo builds on earlier iterations with expanded systems, improved narration, and new navigation options, including teleportation and additional progression mechanics.
