Flat2VR Studios Accepted into A16Z GAMES SPEEDRUN Program

Impact Reality is thrilled to announce that Flat2VR Studios has been accepted into the highly selective A16Z GAMES SPEEDRUN 3 (SR003) accelerator program. This prestigious program, run by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), commenced on July 29 in Los Angeles and will run through October 20, 2024.

Andreessen Horowitz, also known as a16z, is a venture capital firm that backs bold entrepreneurs building the future through technology. With $42 billion in assets under management, a16z invests in a wide range of sectors including AI, bio + healthcare, consumer, crypto, enterprise, fintech, games, infrastructure, and companies building toward American dynamism. The firm is known for its respect for the entrepreneurial process, with many of its general partners being former founders or operators of successful technology companies. This gives a16z a unique perspective and deep domain expertise across various fields.

A16Z GAMES SPEEDRUN is an early-stage accelerator program specifically designed for startups at the intersection of technology and games. The program invests $750,000 in each selected company and provides an intensive 12-week curriculum that includes mentorship, industry coaching, and a community of ambitious founders. SPEEDRUN covers a wide array of topics essential for company growth, such as market trends, fundraising, talent acquisition, design and infrastructure, metrics and revenue, partnerships, marketing and go-to-market strategies, and artificial intelligence.

Over 4,100 companies applied for the SR003 program, and only 37 were selected, highlighting the exclusivity and competitive nature of this opportunity. Being part of the SPEEDRUN 3 cohort places Flat2VR Studios among an elite group of early-stage startups, and we are extremely proud and excited to have been chosen.

"Being accepted into a16z's SPEEDRUN program is an incredible opportunity for us! Benefiting from the resources and connections that Andreessen Horowitz brings to the table will help us pursue some of the larger, dream titles we've always wanted to port to VR," said Jasmine Uniza, Chief Executive Officer of Impact Reality.

Eric Masher, Chief Operating Officer of Impact Reality, expressed his enthusiasm: "Having a company like a16z invest in a VR development studio shows their faith in the VR industry. With them being one of the early investors of Palmer Luckey and Oculus, it feels like a huge synergy with us. Our involvement with A16Z GAMES SPEEDRUN lends us relationships, knowledge, tools, and validity to get us to the places where we want to be, which means bringing the very best IPs to VR."

We are very excited to be associated with a16z, given the success of the companies that they have associated with in the past, including Oculus, Facebook, Instagram, ROBLOX, Reddit, Zynga, and many more. Access to their extensive network of partners is expected to significantly accelerate the growth of Flat2VR Studios and, by extension, Impact Reality.
