Fans and gamers got hold of the popular straw hats, which could then be seen all over the exhibition grounds. At the same time, the largest number of Farming Simulator gaming stations to date was available and the second tournament of the Farming Simulator League Season Five thrilled esports fans.

Premiere for Premium & Hardware
The Premium Edition for Farming Simulator 22, which will be released in November, was playable in public for the first time ever. Supplemented by the mobile version Farming Simulator 23, GIANTS Software offered a total of over 30 gaming stations.

In cooperation with accessories specialist HORI, visitors to the show were able to try out previously unannounced hardware especially designed for use with Farming Simulator.

Hats Off to the Winners
Since June, competitive farming has been included in Farming Simulator 22: At gamescom, numerous fans benefited from this new game mode, beating five opponents in this Bale Stacking Challenge and grabbing valuable prizes from John Deere.

The Farming Simulator League (FSL) had even more competition: On the gamescom weekend, the participating teams played the second tournament of the fifth season, which has a prize pool of 200,000 Euros. This special mode for competitive farming requires coordination when harvesting, baling, and delivering to your own barn and is also included in Farming Simulator 22.

Happy Faces Everywhere
The FSL tournament, played in a multiple knockout system, lasted 18 hours over two days - many of the games were only decided in the decisive third match. In the end, Team HELM, a favorite, won against the surprise team of Farming-Friends, who - although tainted with defeat very early on - made it all the way to the final.

"That was another goosebump feeling in Cologne!" commented Boris Stefan, Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software. "An exciting FSL tournament, an exuberant audience with our famous straw hats and enthusiasm all around Farming Simulator. These experiences with our community simply can't be topped!"
