Fantasy Extraction RPG ‘Dungeonborne’ Kicks Off Early Access with New Item Set, Skill and Class Balancing

Dungeonborne, the fantasy extraction RPG by Mithril Interactive that has recently released into Early Access, has just received a content update that adds a new skeletal weapon pack, introduces a new skill to the Rogue player class and implements the first major round of class balancing across the board.

Since its Early Access launch, Dungeonborne has seen a concurrent player peak of more than 39,000 players according to Steam Charts, and continues to preserve a healthy concurrent player base throughout the week. I am sharing more details on the content update below in case this is of interest to news:

  • The Rogue player class has received a new skill, the Shadow Veil. Rogues can now cast Shadow Veil to shroud their allies in Stealth for 15 seconds, allowing new teamfight strategies to emerge. The Rogue can now also enter Stealth for 30 seconds, and breaking invisibility puts Stealth on a 10-second cooldown.

+ Made of flesh and steel, the new Skeletal Skin pack is now available and features skins for each weapon themed after death and decay, including The Orb in the shape of a heart. Players who seek to acquire these new skins can purchase the pack in the in-game shop, and herald their foes’ fate as they venture into the dark yet again.

  • Mithril Interactive have been hard at work listening to player feedback - a major round of class balancing has just gone live, including adjustments to Cryomancer’s resource management, the aforementioned Rogue skill overhaul and buffs to the Priest player class, as well as equipment and general gameplay balancing.
