Dev Walkthrough | Listen closely as audio-focused psychological horror game 'Imprinted' reveals new gameplay
Filippo Beck Peccoz, long-time game composer turned developer at Cobalt Lane, has shared a new gameplay walkthrough of Imprinted, the studio's upcoming psychological horror game, as part of the recent IGN Fan Fest showcase.
The walkthrough offers an in-depth look at the game’s audio engineering tools and how players will interact with them.
The video features Imprinted’s simulated audio-engineering tool, WaveSplice, recovering a broken mix by real-life musician Molly McPhaul - and a quick look at an unsettling new audio assignment.
Incidentally, It might just be the first dev walkthrough video where the creator talks to the audience from within the game, via its own messaging software!
Imprinted is a narrative-driven psychological thriller set within a fictional operating system. Players step into the role of audio engineer Vincent Brandt, restoring and interpreting the unfinished recordings of a mysterious musician who disappeared decades ago, Viola Fossati, while navigating a story about creativity, obsession, and authorship.
Imprinted will be released on Steam in 2026.
