Century: Age Of Ashes Intertwines Brand NEW Sylvian Class Thornweaver Into Battle For Its Second Season

As the free-to-play competitive dragon shooter continues to soar in popularity, the roster of dragon-riding warriors grows, as well as the beautifully crafted environments players can uncover and survey, all launching in Season 2 on March 21st on Xbox, PlayStation & PC! Players will be introduced to the brand the elemental fury that is the ‘Thornweaver’ rider class with their new dragon species, a treasure of rewards in a refreshed BattlePass, and the new themed map of ‘Eilean Càirn’. Will you take up arms and settle the fate of the dragons against rampant corruption?

Independent game developer, Playwing, are proud to unveil their latest seasonal experience ‘The Fate Of Dragons’. Season 2 will see new and existing players alike heed the call of dragons in this latest and inspiring dark fantasy tale: Dragons and humans maintain a sacred balance, woven centuries ago out of respect and necessity for each other. But it only takes a spark to light a fire… Far in the northern cliffs of the Narairim Trench, an assembly of dissidents born from their ashes carries an extreme vision of dragoneering. Like a poison running deep through veins, their influence is spreading. Hope resides on the shoulders of a tribe that once learned to live in symbiosis with dragons. Hidden in lush forests deep beyond the Kärsk Frontier, this peaceful civilization is now lost to the tides of time. Two worlds are about to collide, forging the fate of dragoneering for years to come.

The new Thornweaver class is essential to the story told in Season 2, as the events unfolding in the lore acts are being seen through their point of view. Obtainable through paid access, in both soft and hard currency, this class is the archetype of the Elf and perceived as a proud and boisterous warrior. Equipped with devastating agility, it truly is a force to be reckoned with. This latest class brings area-controlled gameplay mechanics and menacing nature-infused powers, as well as a new species of dragons with its own design that’ll be declined in several variants, as well as highly detailed items of customization for the Thornweaver class - including majestic head alternatives, additional scepters, armours, capes and more. Both dragons and customisation items can be earned via Dragon Pass or purchased via the in-game shop.

Alongside all this exciting new content the Dragon Pass, Century’s very own Battle Pass System, will be replenished with brand new items to unlock. As players progress through tiers, they can obtain 70+ rewards for the new and all pre-existing classes in Century: Age of Ashes:exclusive Dragons, complete Rider Outfits (Head, Torso, Cape, etc), unique Weapons, Player Customisations and Consumables (Hard/Soft Currency, XP Boosts)

The new leveling system introduced here will also allow dragoneers to complete missions to earn Levels and Stars. Levels will unlock the rewards tiers in the Dragon Pass, and stars can be spent to buy rewards. If players find themselves victorious and reach Level 100, hard and soft currency can also be earned from that level onwards. As Season 2 unfolds, so too do the Lore Books, where players can indulge themselves in the deeper lore and understanding surrounding this current Season.

The player-favorite Hünavatn Lake Map also sees itself having a complete overhaul, with a signature fantasy design. The abandoned outpost has been reclaimed by nature, boasting open areas for high speed chases, tunnels for close quarter combat, air flow boosts and hiding areas for dragoneers to engage in their chosen battle patterns. This map is heavily dosed in lore driven appeal, but also with a shroud of mystery, and will be the penultimate area for the climax of Season 2

Finally, Century: Age Of Ashes will see a new ranked season for competitive players, and additional features as the season unfolds such as rage move reworks and quality of life improvements which will be providing players with a much more immersive in-game experience.
