Blue Ridge Hunting Comes to Early Access in August, Revealed During Women-Led Games
Are you ready to brave the infamous cryptids of the Appalachian region?
This Summer, you can find out!
Announced today at the Women-Led Games Showcase, chilling online co-op Blue Ridge Hunting is launching into Early Access this August.
In the narrative-driven story mode, join the Appalachian Investigation Group (either alone or with up to three players) as you investigate, document clues, and hunt terrifying cryptids based on real legends and folklore. In freeplay mode, explore and hunt the Appalachian region freely with up to five fellow investigators. As you earn money from completing investigations, continue to upgrade your gear so you are well-equipped for greater threats that lurk within the forests. Be careful not to let these creatures hear you, as any small whisper or unusually loud step could be your last.
Field Notes:
Found Footage: A gritty retro/PSX art style inspired by early 3D horror and analog media
Always Listening: Creatures react to proximity voice chat and radio chatter - communication is crucial, but dangerous
Into the Woods, Solo or Together: Explore Appalachia alone or with up to 5 players in online co-op freeplay
Bump In The Night: A narrative-driven story (1–3 players) following the Appalachian Investigation Group’s hunt for the Mothman
Experience The Legends: Encounter unique, intelligent creatures based on real Appalachian folklore and sightings
Dark-Bluegrass Symphony: An original score blending haunting melodies with Appalachian Bluegrass roots
Blue Ridge Hunting is currently in development for PC.
