ASTROBOTANICA's First Ever Public Demo Is Now Live!

Space Goblin Studio invites all explorers, botanists, and curious lifeforms to jump into ASTROBOTANICA, the studio’s upcoming science-driven survival adventure, now available to play during the October 2025 edition of Steam Next Fest. The game’s first public demo is live now through October 20th at 10:00 am PT and can be accessed through the official Steam page. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign earlier this year and a busy closed Alpha over the summer, ASTROBOTANICA is on track to launch this winter on Windows PC via Steam.

Space Goblin is also thrilled to announce that ASTROBOTANICA's companion webcomic series, Sprout Out!, is available now on the studio’s official Webtoon page. The first episode is live, introducing readers to the world of the game, as well as the title's botanist protagonist, Xel. New episodes will continue to roll out in the coming days, leading up to the game’s Early Access release this winter. Sprout Out! is written by Luca Zeyer and illustrated by Karolina “KAROLAWISNIA” Wisniewska, the series is produced by Arkadiusz Wozniak, Space Goblin’s Co-Founder and Game Director for ASTROBOTANICA.

ASTROBOTANICA is built around botany, horticulture, and exploration. You play as an alien biologist who crash-lands on prehistoric Earth and has to survive by experimenting with plants (all flora is inspired by real-world species and their properties), exploring different biomes, solving puzzles, and interacting with primal humans in the Pleistocene epoch.

Key Features:

  • Plant Research: Discover the unique qualities of the Earth’s flora, and its effects on living organisms and the environment.

  • Tonics Crafting: Experiment with ingredients obtained from plant life to prepare mixtures for various uses, and develop recipes for later.

  • Cultivation: Nurture select plant species and build your very own garden, look after it by watering and nourishing your crops, and protecting it from hungry animals.

  • Exploration: Travel between islands and explore different biomes to discover new plants, while learning to handle dangerous wildlife and solving hidden mysteries.

  • Puzzle Solving: Unlock the secrets of ancient ruins by deciphering cryptic symbols, manipulating forgotten technology, and solving environmental challenges that reveal hidden pathways and valuable knowledge.

  • Human Interaction: Break the ice and connect with primal humans inhabiting the islands to foster relationships that can lead to trading and mutual assistance.
