Anime-Inspired Metroidvania “Sunken Sky” Launching April 9
Prepare to venture forth into a beautifully handcrafted kingdom, as today, developer Codenightly revealed the release date for the upcoming Metroidvania, Sunken Sky. The anime-inspired adventure launches on PC via Steam on April 9.
Inspired by classics such as Ori and the Blind Forest and Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight, Sunken Sky aims to be an accessible Metroidvania for those new to the genre, whilst also bringing epic JRPG storytelling for players who want to lose themselves in the world. Players will step into the role of three unlikely heroines, each with their own stories and abilities to uncover.
Journey with the trio as they take down devastating monstrosities, bond with the world’s inhabitants, and come together in a story that is filled with growth and hope.
