Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) today released the Star Citizen Alpha 3.19: Call to Adventure update as the open-world universe simulator continues to grow through its active development. Today’s update digs deeper into many of the emergent gameplay systems in Star Citizen, adding additional depth and improvements to single-player and multiplayer mining, new combat and salvage missions that bring their own unique risks and rewards, and a new handheld tractor beam tool to give players more control over salvage operations.

Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) today released Star Citizen - Alpha 3.17.2, bringing new content and features to the expanding ‘verse. Available for download later today, Alpha 3.17.2 introduces the all-new Siege of Orison dynamic event, expands explorable derelict ships and outposts, implements the first iteration of AI Planetary Nav Mesh, adds the drivable Anvil Centurion anti-aircraft vehicle, and more. Today’s update also doubles the capacity of servers from 50 to 100 players per server, allowing more pilots to participate in large-scale dynamic events, tournaments, and PvP encounters.
Cloud Imperium Games will be opening a new studio in Manchester, UK. The new Manchester studio will create more than 700 jobs in the metropolitan area by 2023, and over 1,000 within the next five years.
