Intellivision classics ASTROSMASH® and SHARK! SHARK!® receive major updates
BBG Entertainment has released major new updates for ASTROSMASH® and SHARK! SHARK!® featuring improved gameplay, optimized controls, and numerous convenience features for Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, Windows, and Mac!
Extensive new updates for the legendary Intellivision® classics ASTROSMASH® and SHARK! SHARK!® are now available for all current platforms. Players on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, Windows, and Mac devices can look forward to numerous optimizations affecting both the classic original versions and the modern reimagining of these two cult games.
The latest updates focus in particular on more precise controls, improved gameplay, greater stability, and added convenience for players. Both titles have been extensively reworked to deliver the best possible gaming experience on today’s platforms.

Improvements in ASTROSMASH®6
Originally released in 1981 for the Intellivision console, [bASTROSMASH® is one of the platform’s most successful and popular games. In this modern re-release, players control a laser cannon and destroy falling meteors, bombs, UFOs, and other threats.
The new updates bring numerous improvements:
Significantly optimized controls in the classic version
New pause function during gameplay
Improved hit detection for UFOs and falling objects
Revamped visual effects for asteroids and meteors
Improvements to controller support
Further gameplay optimizations and stability improvements
Additionally, ASTROSMASH® continues to offer co-op and versus modes for up to four players locally or online, including cross-platform support. In addition to the modern reimagining, the original Intellivision version is also included.
Improvements in SHARK! SHARK!®
First released in 1982, SHARK! SHARK!® is also one of the most famous Intellivision games. In this modern remake, players control a small fish and must survive, grow, and fend off numerous enemies in dangerous underwater worlds.

New dash/acceleration function for fish
Improved controls in the classic version
New pause function during gameplay
Optimized controller mapping and user guidance
Improved animations and technical optimizations
Numerous bug fixes and stability updates
SHARK! SHARK!®6 offers single-player as well as local and online multiplayer modes for up to four players with cross-platform support. Players explore three distinct underwater worlds featuring a total of twelve varied levels. In addition to the modern reimagining, the original Intellivision version is also included.
