Utilize Varied Terrains
In Lost in Fantaland, adventurers will encounter a wide array of terrains, along with various mechanisms and traps. You must avoid these dangers while simultaneously using them to fight off monsters. So turn the situation to your advantage and lure your enemies into these traps. Time to twist the odds in your favor!
Use Movement Points Wisely
Using any card will consume a certain amount of MOVP (Movement Points). Attack, Defend, or Upgrade-the strategy is yours to shape. If you are unable to defeat the monster within the turn, responding with a coordinated defense could be a wise choice.
Keep Your Deck Lean
Aside from cards that are consumed upon use, all other cards are sent to the discard pile at the end of your turn. Your draw pile is only reshuffled from the discard pile once you have drawn through your entire deck. Therefore, it’s wise to keep your deck streamlined. A smaller deck allows you to cycle through and reuse your most powerful cards more frequently. If your deck becomes too large, you risk diluting it and failing to draw your crucial card combinations when you need them.
Each Class, a Different Strategy
The game offers a variety of classes for you to explore-Warrior, Mage, and Trickster. Some classes even have subclasses, each with its own distinct mechanics. One may stack buffs to amplify damage, another might require charging up before launching attacks or defenses, and others could turn terrain and traps into powerful weapons. This variety guarantees a new experience with every class, ensuring your adventure never feels repetitive!
Know Your Enemy, Minimize Damage
Every monster has its own attack pattern and movement range. Adventurers can study them to learn their traits and attack range. The game also provides icons that preview their next move and the area it will hit. By understanding the turn order, attack methods and areas, you can reduce the damage to a minimum.
Friendly NPCs?
During your adventure, you will encounter various NPCs who can aid you. Some offer a one-time free upgrade to your cards, while others sell useful items and cards. But beware-merchant NPCs may raise their prices if you leave without making a purchase! If you’re planning to buy items or artifacts, it’s best to save up first before visiting the shop.
Death Is Just Another Beginning
Sometimes, even a perfect strategy can fail when luck is not on your side. While failure may feel discouraging, each adventure rewards you with a number of Soul Orbs. Before your next attempt, you can use these orbs for various upgrades, such as increasing the max HP of different classes or unlocking helpful in-game options like boosting HP recovery at rest sites. With each upgrade, your chances of victory grow higher!
