WW1 Horror, CONSCRIPT, Is Resident Evil In The Trenches

Developer Catchweight Studio has just released a new demo for their PlayStation 1inspired horror game, CONSCRIPT. Set in 1916 during the Great War, CONSCRIPT throws players into the shoes of a French soldier searching for their missing brother. Featuring a grainy pixelated art style, players will experience a return to the classic era of survival horror as they solve challenging environmental puzzles and take on encounters with limited supplies.

Previously only available at PAX, players can now play its expanded demo to get a taste of the horrors to come. As they endure the dangers of war, they’ll need to navigate through twisting trenches, overrun forts and no-man's-land in order to bring back their loved one. War is unforgiving and CONSCRIPT’s oppressive atmosphere will keep players immersed in its intense story.

Offering familiar mechanics for those experienced in classic survival horrors like the original Resident Evil or Silent Hill, players will need to fend off enemy soldiers with a variety of WW1 melee weapons and firearms, manage their inventory, uncover mysteries and plan their routes carefully. One wrong move could mean the difference between survival and failure.

The CONSCRIPT demo is available now on the official Steam Page and is part of Steam’s upcoming Halloween Scream Fest. You can wishlist and follow the game to stay in the loop about any changes or game updates.
