Disco Elysium wins three 2020 BAFTA Games Awards

Last night, ZA/UM won three 2020 BAFTA Games Awards for its groundbreaking open world role-playing game, Disco Elysium. In a stunning achievement for a debut game released only six months ago, ZA/UM was nominated for seven BAFTA Games Awards and, during the online ceremony hosted by Irish comedian and television presenter Dara Ó Briain, the team took home the prestigious trophies for:

  • Narrative

  • Debut Game

  • Music - by British Sea Power

“The team has been overwhelmed by the response from the global gaming community to Disco Elysium. We are delighted that so many people have fallen in love with the urban fantasy world and people of Revachol, and the hard work of the team being recognised last night by BAFTA is an honour,” said Mikk Metsniit, Head of Publishing, Disco Elysium.

This award win is the latest in a series of prestigious wins for Disco Elysium, including four trophies at The Game Awards (Best Narrative, Best Role Playing Game, Best Independent Game, and Best Debut Indie Game); IGN’s Award for Best PC Exclusive 0f 2019; and PC Gamer’s Game of the Year 2019.
