Degica Games presents "The Tribe" game by Cloud 9
Degica Games is proud to present The Tribe RPG game, produced by Cloud 9 utilizing RPG Maker MV, which is now available in preview (www.tribeworld.com), prior to rolling out globally.
The game is adapted from the cult classic television series ‘The Tribe’. Cloud 9 produced almost 300 episodes which has enjoyed tremendous success and has a loyal and devoted following throughout the world, spawning many tie-ins from novels to music, audiobooks to book publishing.
The game is the first title in the prolific indie’s recent diversification into the gaming industry.
CEO of Cloud 9 and creator of the television series and game director, veteran writer and producer, Raymond Thompson MNZM said “Over the years, I have considered doing a game, but never really found the correct vehicle to explore all I wanted to interweave creatively. I was introduced to RPG Maker and became very inspired. The engine is almost like a musical instrument, or even a paintbrush, limiting users and content developers literally by their imagination. I really love the RPG Maker community feel, which mirrors the culture of our Tribal community in so many ways.”
Thompson stated that he believes (and wants) the game to cross over and appeal to consumers who may not be aware of the television series.
The Tribe Game is a story-driven roleplaying game where the player creates their own custom character and steps into a unique, atmospheric post-apocalyptic world where hope prevails. Taking center stage in the story, the player interacts with a large range of characters and 'tribes', each of whom is seeking to build a new world, and will help shape their lives and destinies. There are many diverse places to explore, quests to be accomplished, professions to level up, items and resources to be found, battles to be won, friendships to be made and adversaries to be challenged. The player will have the opportunity to experience all the danger, challenges, character interplay, humor and unpredictable drama in the world of The Tribe - and above all, to ensure that triumph overcomes adversity, so that the player can keep their own dream (as well as their tribe's) alive.
